To be honest, this place was everything I didn't expect-- In a positive way!! Staff was EXTREMELY friendly and welcoming. When you check in, you can pay by cash or credit card- and you just have to pay before the night you leave. We stayed four nights and we paid on our third night. We got two rooms, one triple... more

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the St. Athens for three weeks this spring. The hosts were friendly and helpful, my room was comfortable, and the English Breakfast was phenomenal! Staying at St. Athens made my trip to London even more enjoyable. more

Unless you need the overly spacious american-style hotel room and can't adjust to the tighter quarters of British living, this is an excellent place to be. Three friends and myself stayed in a 'family room' (a bunk-bed set, a double bed, and a twin bed as well as a sink and clothing cabinet) for three weeks. Being a group of... more

I really enjoyed staying at the St. Athans. The staff was always very friendly and responsive if we needed something. I loved the location of the hotel as there were always restaurants nearby and it was close to the school we were studying at. The English breakfast every morning never got boring - I always started looking forward to it... more

My stay at the St. Athans was comfortable and very pleasant. As a small town girl, it was comforting to stay in a hotel run by a family, giving the St. Athans a warm, close knit feel. I entered the hotel as part of a large group from a small private college, studying the arts in London. I was impressed... more

I had a really pleasant stay at the St Athans. My room was a little crowded, but my roommates and I never found it to be much of a problem. A few of the showers (on the landings) were a bit sketchy as far as having reliable hot water, but the staff were already making repairs and upgrades while we... more

The St. Athans Hotel is a wonderfully run place. The best experiences I had with the hotel was through interaction with the polite staff, whether it was the lovable Claire at breakfast, the friendly Karl at the front desk, or the hilarious Jumbo who kept watch around the place. My room was adequate, with sink and comfortable bed. The St.... more

On the 7th May I booked a room for my family, two children of 4 & 11year old, my husband & I. I explicitly requested by phone and in writing to give us a quite room. We arrived around 17:30 on Thursday and the room we were given, room 23, was right door to door to the share showers &... more

If you want to sleep, stay away from this hotel. We stayed in two different rooms. First room was located adjacent to the street. Loud car and foot traffic all night. Requested room off the street....it was even worse due to internal noises. When other guests walk down the corridor, it sounded like they are stomping in your room. Entire... more

This place has a BED BUG infestation, and they know it. I told them (Sina Kluever) the next morning, and she said, "it could be anything, are you allergic to something"? I stopped one night there, and was biten more than twenty times. I needed to be seen by my GP the next day, he prescribed tablets and cream they... more

We are really sorry that this happened. We have a zero tolerance policy on any form of pest and these things are always dealt with in the most stringent way as soon as we are alerted to the problem. As we are located in central London with guests arriving from all over the world all the time, this is unfortunately...
