If staying at this hotel try to arrange a room in the main building. We were in an ajoining building and had to go to the main building to use WIFI. Breakfast was typical English fare and very delicious. I would like to stay again just for the breakfast. Our room was small, like most european hotels, but very clean... More

I stayed here in September 2011 with my Boyfriend for two nights. The rooms were small. Bed, small wardrobe and a sink, and hardly any floor space at all. The shared bathroom was very clean, and there was never any problems waiting to use it. Jut had a bathtub - no shower on our floor, but the floor upstairs had... More

I've stayed at the St Athans hotel twice now and both times I've found it be an excellent budget hotel. The rooms and shared bathrooms have always been very clean and the staff have been extremely helpful and welcoming. The new basement cafe is a great improvement on the old dining room - light and airy with fantastic coffee, croissants... More

We stayed with two kids for 3 nights. Naturally this is a budget hotel and noone will miss that with their prices in such a great location! The staff is very friendly and they try to compensate any discomforts. We had a room without private bathroom and I worried a lot about this with two kids beforehand. I turned out... More

We moved here from another hotel, The Celtic, to save a few quid. We were surprised that they charge for breakfast and that at night it sounded like a marathon moving up and down the stairs, the fire doors slammed every few minutes. I am a sound sleeper but had to resort to earplugs. One bed was more like a... More

We stayed there for 2 days on first part of our holidays and for the last 2 days of our holidays. Hotel is as advertised on the webpage. There is no TV in the room. You can watch TV if you want to, in the lounge area. Wifi is only available near the office and lounge area but that is... More

Its amazing that this guest writes a bad review - they had actually cancelled their booking with the booking agency, and had gotten a refund. So when they arrived asking for their room, of course we didn't have one, but paid for their stay at a nearby hotel anyway, as a gesture of goodwill. It seems they still don't understand... More

St Athans Hotel is in a very good location about 5 minutes from the British Museum, with the Russell Square Underground 2 minutes away. It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. I had a double ensuite which was still a reasonable price (especially for London) because I didn't want to use the shared toilets and showers. If you don't... More

I needed to stay here for a late night / early morning getaway and it seemed the right thing to do being relatively cheap and in the centre of London. Walking distance form all of the major places of interest and fairly bohemian. However, don’t be distracted by the (very) pretty girls in the reception this is a doss house!... More

The Geyer Family that run the St.Athans Hotel find it quite offensive to be described as a 'doss house'. We take pride over the running of our hotel and while we admit we're only a simple budget hotel, many people are very happy to stay here, and have posted this on Trip Advisor too - its also clearly shown in... A maze of corridors in a row of buildings, St.Athans is a budget hotel very close to the British Museum and other London attractions, and certainly wins a prize in its class. The rooms are tiny but very clean, and so are the bathrooms, which is not so obvious elsewhere. For my next trip I'd choose en-suite, if available, but... More
