I was excited to stay in this bed and breakfast due to the cute pictures of the house and its proximity to the London Underground. First thing I noticed when entering was that the owner, Rosa, looked like she had literally just gotten out of bed when she greeted us at the door. Weird, but whatever. I also noticed that the house smelled of smoke and that there was clutter everywhere and it was not as clean as the pictures made it out to be. I also found out I had apparently not paid for breakfast even though I paid the full amount through Expedia and it said it was a “bed and breakfast”, so breakfast was a bit of a struggle for my whole trip. Second was the parking. I had booked this place specifically because I had rented a car and it said parking was available. The website failed to mention that you can only park your car on the streets on nights and weekends and otherwise can’t park between 9-10am or 3-4pm. I was advised that I could instead park over a mile away. That was extremely inconvenient for me since I didn’t need the car the whole time and was expecting a car park, not to park it in a different neighborhood and have to walk 15 minutes back each time. The room was a decent size and cute. However, the bathroom was extremely small and Rosa doesn’t seem to know what fabric softener is. The towels were very hard and rough. In addition, it was freezing cold the first few nights and then halfway through my week there she cranked up the heat and I spent the last few days roasting and with the window wide open through the night. Finally, the sugar bowl next to the tea and coffee making supplies had dead ants in it. Absolutely disgusting and just added to my disappointment with the place. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Thankfully I was only there during the early morning and nights and only for a week, but my stay in London would have been a lot more comfortable elsewhere.

I used the single room and shared bathroom for one week. My stay here started off positively. Rosa is kind, and the atmosphere truly does feel "homey" as it is decorated with Rosa's own artwork and the decor is eclectic. The house was quiet even as more guests arrived. The gardens and breakfast room are lovely. The breakfast was self-serve until 10:30am. You could grab from tea, coffee, cereals, bread, and muesli. It was nothing fancy but enough to tide me over until I reached London and grabbed another bite. Once more guests arrived, I noticed the cleanliness of the facilities to be off-putting. The other guests are to blame for not flushing the toilet, leaving residues in the sink, towels on the bathroom floor, and dirt in the hallways; but I would have definitely appreciated if the bathroom were cleaned daily. Additionally, my room did not seem to be serviced and my towels were not replaced at all during the stay, though the At-Home handbook suggested my room would be serviced on Day 4 (I generally don't mind this, but I do enjoy clean towels during vacation). If you stay here, I suggest reserving a room with a private bathroom. Also, do not stay here if you are averse to smoking or if you are a "neat freak." Ealing is a very safe neighborhood even at midnight, which is a top priority for me. I enjoy learning about culture, so I feel that staying at the bnb allowed me to experience the English home and lifestyle more firsthand. It is easy to access London, as well. For the cheap stay, it was alright, but I probably would not return.

Wouldn't recommend, the female host was very un-welcoming and not friendly in the slightest. Im not sure what was worse her dog that barks at everything or the quality of the breakfast you receive in the morning... As other's have stated she stressed for me to pay in cash rather than using card (I paid in card) guessing to avoid paying tax. My room was fine but had to much furniture in it, remote for the TV didn't work nor did the lamp on the side table. After being asked if it was possible to have both of these fixed nothing was done about it. The room was absolutely freezing on arrival and during the day, I did receive a heater after asking. The bathroom needs a decent clean (mould in the shower, dirty walls and cobwebs on the ceiling.) The communication with Rosa is equally as bad as her service, after texting her I received a reply 7-8 hours later.. The entry way is very dirty and messy, not the most welcoming. Internet is questionable and crashes a lot. Terrible stay won't be back!

I was looking for a room in the Ealing area due to work and my budget would not stretch to an hotel so this place looked ideal. Free parking on the street outside as long as you leave by a certain time and arrive at a certain time, and individual rooms. Some with their own bathrooms. Started well. Clean sheets and relatively quiet (apart from the owners dog barking at every sound outside). The house itself is overdue modernisation to come up to standard and is strangely filled with what I can only assume is the landlady's own artwork. A mixture of neieve nudes and screenprints that would not look out of place in a comprehensive school. All the funiture looks like it has been aquired from car boot sales and the like over many years. Bohemian and eclectic to say the least. However what started out as alright, and the fact that I was up and gone early in the morning and back late at night, the place suited my needs and I was thinking of staying for at least another two months, things went wrong after I was asked by the owner to pay in cash ! However after what seems like her lack of accurate book keeping resulted in her accusing me of missing two nights payment (which was wrong) I could not stay and was forced to look elsewhere. It seems to me that the owner does this because she has to, not because she is gragarious and social ! Quite the opposite actually. Oh and look out for the mice !

We stayed in superior double with its own bathroom. The stay was ok but there was smell of cigarette smoke during day at times and with low ceiling height you might be likely to hit your head. The breakfast is fine as you help yourself. We only walked toward tube station 10 mins away for meals. Not sure if anywhere closer another direction.

My little attic room was very cozy and I loved the art produced by owner/artist Rosa Osborne. One drawback in cutting costs is getting a single room with shared bath since the shared separate toilet and another shower/toilet room is down stairs. After a day though, I got used to figuring out that I had to be very alert for those night time visits. Ealing is a bit of a distance from London City Center but a direct tube route on the District or Central line. It was also convenient from Heathrow on the Heathrow Connect train and only about 8 british pounds to get to the last stop, West Ealing which is very close to the At Home London B&B. Great self serve breakfast, abundant and fresh and you can eat facing a lovely garden. The bed is very very comfortable and i liked having a window I could open. The WiFi worked great in my room.

Wanna know how Harry Potter feels? So, come here. Tiny little B&B, very comfortable. The owner is very kind. You'll be independent 100% Good position, you can easily move in/out London center with the underground and the streets here are awesome, no sounds, no traffic!

Having spent 5 months in U.K. Staying mostly in hotels around London I was booked into this B and B by my girl friend as the near by Hilton was booked out. Had I found this place earlier in my stay I would of stayed for my entire stay in uk. Price was good value Rosa my host was helpful a delight in conversation and her art work around the entire house pleasing to my eye. I would stay there again in fact I intend to stay there for a few days when I go back to England next month. Thank you Rosa and Beep

I stayed at this place for a couple of nights, and I liked it. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is very comfortable, I had a private bathroom just for my room, but it is in a common corridor. Breakfast is as described a self service one, and I like this, the person can choose whatever they want. the selection is not big, but enough for a continental style. The B&B is very near a bus station and not far from an underground station, which is great for travel to central London.

At Home is in a lovely, quiet part of Ealing. An easy walk to the tube and train station with quick access into Central London. The house and decor are eccentric and interesting; much better than staying in a bland, characterless hotel! The rooms are clean and comfortable with kettle, TV and free wifi, and a perfectly good size for a weekend in London. Breakfast is self service and relaxed. Rosa is a friendly host but doesn't hassle you and let's you get on with things. I'd stay again if I was back in Ealing.
