Was never expecting a huge amount but was very convenient to my place of business, clean and relatively comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and effective and there's a decent cafe bar area open late to residents. The bar staff weren't brilliant but again for under £70 a night in the City what can you expect. More

Remember come out of the tube and turn RIGH, something i forgot to check. Thankfully as we stood wondering which way to go a couple asked if we were looking for the Travelodge and told us turn right. After that finding the hotel was easy. The location is nice enough. Lots of places to eat. M&S is by the station... More

A good price & great location for working in and around the City of London. I received a very nice greeting on arrival - you know just genuine and honest - not stage managed. Asked for a quiet room and got top floor (7th) where at the end of the corridor, the room (718) was so quiet you could hear... More

Travelodge's are ok places for short stays. You can't really expect much. At the City Road hotel you get a pretty small room with the usual fairly spartan facilties, but clean. When I arrived in my room there was no toilet roll so I had to go and get some at reception. Room was quiet enough, though there was some... More

I have stayed at a lot of Travelodges and I was definately pleasantly surprised by this one. It was clean and fresh and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I aksed for a quiet room and was given one on the 6th floor overlooking the central atrium - no view, but nice and quiet as requested. The Travelodge rooms... More

Check in handled swiftly and efficiently by a friendly lady. Whilst checking in saw another guest come down and ask for a towel as there was none in her room: on arrival in my room, there was not one there either, so it was back down to reception to get one. Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from... More

Good points: Location, just a 5 minute walk from 2 tube stations & short journey into centre. Staff helpful & pleasant. Good value breakfast with plentiful hot & cold items on buffet. Bad points: Large double bed but unable to lie flat without rolling into middle. 2 of the thinnest pillows ever seen on bed with only 1 spare. Only... More

Stayed here for 1 night on 29 jan, very clean comfy rooms good shower, tea coffee making facilities, good big comfy bed. Be aware though hotel is in the congestion zone and because of security, cannot lave bags in concierge. But can book in from noon onwards for an extra £10.Never have breakfast in these hotels, dont know why though... More
