Not in the best area. Nothing special. Arrived late, area is deserted, didnt feel safe, car park is very badly lit. Rooms basic but typical travelodge style. Shower was powerful. Didnt use the Cafe Bar. Would stay here again, but only at sale rate.

Typical Travelodge. Extremely basic but does what it says on the tin. Great for the money, but then we only paid £11 in the sale so couldn't complain at that bargain! Would not be happy about spending too much more though to be honest, but think that would be the case for any Travelodge actually. Shower curtain not made for... More

Stayed 1 night for work, room fine, clean etc no problems checking in. Overall hotel needs modernisation, catch on window broken so was getting a lot of traffic noise, also restrict or to stops kids opening window out was broken. All rest ok and clean usual travelodge standard. Ate in hotel as there didn't seem to be many places to... More

Stayed here for one night in May, arrived fairly late Friday evening and pulling into the car park we noticed straight away that there didn't seem to be much security around in what seemed like a pretty rough area so we tried to park as close to the entrance as possible. Checked in and room was pretty standard quality for... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in November 2012 for the Boro v Sheffield Wednesday match, the reception wer great in sorting my reservation out as it was done seperately for the 2 nights. The hotel itself is the standard Travelodge layout, located on the edge of the city centre next to an Aldi and sharing the same car park. On... More

In the middle (almost) of town within walking distance of the the bus station. We booked a family room. The double bed was fine but the single (sofa bed) was very dusty and sagged to the point it was difficlut to sleep in. Also the bedding for the sofa bed was not in the room so had to collect it... Disappointed to say the least. Decent hotel average really, clean and tidy usual. Now, the food.. We ordered well in advance and then it takes 2 hours alone for the starters to come, by the time it came I just wanted to head down to McDonald's down the road. 2 hours for 3 small chicken goujans!!!! With some salad and... More

Easy to find (2 minutes off the A66) with enough parking to accommodate an army, though you must sign in your registration number everyday to avoid a fine. Access is easy and there is a lift to the first floor reception. Although the corridors tended to be a tad chilly the rooms themselves were warm and comfortable. Our room was... More

Does exactly what it says on the tin, cheap & functional. The hotel has free parking (reg needs entering upon arrival otherwise a £70 fine from parking eye will land on your door mat). the rooms are clean & functional. I havn't tasted the food in the bar as there is a sainsburys & takeaway across the road. Not all... More
