I stayed at Chadwick`s Guest House for a few nights whilst visiting Middlesbrough in January 2009.
The experience was a good one. The building, 10 mins walk from Middlesbrough town centre, is an impressive Victorian town house overlooking a park which has retained its character despite having to suffer the indignities of stud-walling to create room space for occupancy.
I was in a single room (£25 p.n.) that was spacious & well decorated with central heating; basic but servicable furniture; comfortable matress; a good television and tea & coffee making facility.
The communal bathrooms and toilets are all decorated to a good modern standard with everything working well and spotless, as is the supplied washing linen.
