Stayed a night here following my husband's transfer to the James Cook hospital following a heart attack. Despite ringing ahead to check access, I was horrified to find that a) there were 4 or 5 steps to get into the hotel, or b) go round the back & up an extremely steep wooden ramp which my powered wheelchair struggled with,... The Baltimore Hotel is a business hotel during the week but on a weekend it turns into a luxury romantic haven, or at least the restaurant does. On a friday and saturday night they have a menu that is so supreme, i have been going back at least once a month for the last 8yrs. The menu consist of a... More

The staff at this hotel were amongst the friendliest people I've ever met and they were willing to bend over backwards to accommodate our requirements. We ate in the hotel restaurant, the dinning area was clean and the food was good and excellent value for money. The rooms, whilst small were clean, functional and nicely decorated. The hotel itself is... More

The Baltimore was certainly fine for a one night stay. Yes, parts are rather dated but the bedroom and ensuite were roomy enough and clean although the desk was a bit small. Staff very pleasant and the food was good - the cooked breakfast was excellent . It is a good 15 minute walk from the centre and is in... More

Similar review to lots of others really. It's a really small room with no view. The en suite facilities are poor and the decor should have been updated in 1970. The floor looks dirty and the duvet has no cover, I can't imagine what sort of hygiene issues that causes. If you're coming to stay here, bring a sleeping bag.... More

Outstanding in some areas, terrible in others; When we arrived our rooms had been allocated to someone else and we were not alone. 3 other guests standing in the foyer waiting for a resolution to their identical problem. The hotel eventually put us up elsewhere but this took 2 hours to sort out. We returned for the remainder of the... More

Arrived with wife. After seeing room, went to reception to ask if given single by mistake! Standard double bed pushed up against wall on one side. Television sitting, free standing at end of bed. tiny ensuite and view into kitchens below. Little space for 2 people moving about. Poor value for money. Told to book earlier if require a bigger... I dont know why some people bother to leave revues. Ive travelled the world, and stayed in many hotels. People just love to be critical. I personally find this hotel ideal. It isnt dirty, its reasonable rates the beds are comfortable. And its a fairly quiet location. Theres a genorous carpark. And the staff are friendly and Ive always felt... More
