We stayed at this place for one night only thank goodness.Unfortunatlly we paid before we saw the room, it was a triple room but only because it had three single beds, the covers smelt dirty in fact we slept fully dressed, it was round the back of the place, and was in very poor condition the walls were mouldy, wadrobe falling to bits, no remote, cups cracked. needless to say we didn't have breakfast there, just wanted to get away...The cost of the room was £75,considering the night before we had stayed in a hotel £68 for a triple and had a very clean room and a lovely breakfast, i think Longlands is a terrible place, wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy more

I am a contractor, and although this is a very popular hotel with people like me it does have a lot of couples using it. The rooms are fairly basic but so is the price, £25.00 pp for a room with ensuite, tv with sky and a good brekkie thrown in. The bar is huge but bright clean and airy, with a huge projector tv, usually showing football, the lager is stella artois on draught at 2 quid a pint, very nice, but if youre a beer man its cans only, however there is an off licence across the road and a chippy, and a donner place, and you can bring your take away into the lounge to eat if you want. The bar lounge has lots of leather chesterfield suites and chairs to relax on plus a pool table and a bandit. They do an excellent evening meal for around a fiver. There is secure parking at the rear. The staff atre very friendly and laid back. All in all I have to say THE BEST B&B I'VE EVER STAYED AT, and as a man who works away a lot I've stayed in a few.Hope this... more
