Not impressed. Had an "executive" room on the first floor, located behind the kitchen (loud when staff arrive early to work plus the noise of the kitchen) and accessible only by walking through the diningroom!?! After a recent makeover the Best Western Middlesbrough is truly top class. The exterior appearance and grounds are first class and the restaurant / bar downstairs are very pleasing on the eye. I was impressed with how helpful and genuinely kind the staff were and I can find no fault whatsoever with the room or any aspect of my stay.... More

The staff were friendly. Rooms clean and big. Bed comfy. Amenities good. Very handy for shopping which is what we wanted. What we just wanted. People were friendly and went out of there way to help in any way they can. Food was excellent and never tasted better and there is always enough.

The location looks a bit stark but it is a hotel within a busy pub and was perfect for what I wanted there is pool, darts Sky real ale loads of inexpensive food very nice staff and the room was comfortable handy for the town centre.

I stayed here at short notice, and found it very pleasant indeed. Good breakfast, well cooked. The staff were all very friendly, and the room comfortable and clean.
