Free parking and free wifi is a plus in its self as well as a decent size pool and fitness centre and a clean and comfortable room, what more could you need ?. I was working with a colleague in Stockton and she had booked the Premier Inn (a safe choice) ! I took a peek on late rooms and... more

carpets have been cleaned but still smell and you can see where the cleaner didn't get in. Kettle stopped working and was given a travel kettle with mould in it, complained but still wasn't given a kettle. Food tasted terible and the wine even worse! Bathroom with added mould around fitments. No extra blankets when it got cold. stay at... more

Firstly, let me say I'm from Middlesbrough, and this hotel has been there (albeit as a THF Post House) since I can remember - so it's at least 40 years old. Now taking that above into account, it is obvious that the design of the hotel suffers - long corridors with dated style of doors, architraves with some evidence of... more

Booked with friends for the Gala New Years Eve dinner & an overnight stay. Check in smooth enough, rooms, very basic and not over clean, the dust behind the bedside cabinets is a disgrace, bathroom, function, small & basic. Must have been 200 people for the Gala dinner & a further 150 for the buffet, sadly the Hotel was way... more

The room was fine, as was the bathroom. The hotel itself is terribly dated, and the food, both breakfast and dinner, diabolical. more

On the plus side, there is a gym that you can use with a pool, sauna, steam room (if it works) and a host of other gym gear upstairs. Breakfast is quite complete. You get the usual cereal along with the pastries and fresh fruit cocktail. Then there is a cooked fair - bacon, sausages, egg, fried bread, hash browns... more

Stayed at the Hotel on a Saturday night. Check in was straight forward and the room clean and well equipped.I found the staff helpful and pleasant. Service at the bar was a little slow but I think that was due to the fact there was a wedding function on that day and the bar was busy. The evening meal was very... more

On arrival the reception area is modern and clean. The check in procedure went without a hitch and the staff were very pleasant. Walking down the corridor was like a step back in time and it didn't stop when you enter the room. A brave attempt to upate the room by repainting the walls falls a little flat when the... more

We stayed here for two nights on a leisure break booked directly with the Hotel. For £99 we had two nights B & B and dinner on the first evening. This was for two people (not each) and was a really good deal. Booking was easy and I was told we would get an executive room, which we did. The... more
