My wife and I have recently returned from a few days in Norfolk, staying at the Hotel Wroxham which is situated beside the river Bure in the village of Hoveton in the heart of broadland. Our en-suite room had a balcony which overlooked the river with all it's interesting pleasure craft activities. The hotel has a very friendly staff, from... more

Hotel rooms very 'tired' we paid £95.00 a night for a suite with a river view, the view is gorgeous, but the balcony layout is awful, you can only stand up to see the view at is best. For obvious health and safety reasons they have added an additional concrete slap above the original low rise balcony, but decerative ironwork... more

Never judge a hotel by its website! This looked lovely from the website and there seemed to be not much else in the area. One positive: some rooms (called suites??!) had a lovely view of the river. However, rms were very dated and shabby. Bad decor in anybodies book. Hotel lobby area was smokey and not a relaxing place to... more

We stayed at this hotel recently for a friend's wedding (not at the hotel). The location is good, staff friendly and the food was great and obviously popular with locals. Unfortunately the bedroom (room 8) was small, the bathroom was tiny and the shower cubicle was too small to be able to wash properly! Decor was outdated and the lightswitch... more

Attended the hotel over the Bank holiday weekend. The hotel was full and the bar/restaurant was very busy with non residents. We had one of the non suit rooms, the en-suit was very well presented with the little extras to use ,as was the bedroom ,we had as much coffee making/biscuits as we could use and were replaced each day.... more

A return visit for the second year running. Perfect location with attentive, friendly staff. Rooms are well up to standard for this class hotel. Disappointed by the food on this occasion, I'm afraid. Breakfasts were warm but no better and we were disappointed with the evening meals - one evening the beef was tough and on another the gammon was... more

I'm afraid the view of the hotel on their web-site is misleading. The view from the balcony is fine but not the widespread panorama they suggest. The docoration is sloppy with paint covering the edges of the wall tiles. Very basic plumbing for the showers. More particularly the food was very poor. On the first evening the small side salad... more

Friends and my Husband and I were very satisfied with on Birthday Celebrations. We had excellent service, and the food was very good. The Bill at the end of the evening was also very reasonable, and a good Birthday evening was had by all. more

Have just returned from a brief stay in the Norfolk Broads and we based our stay at the Hotel Wroxham. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food good, the balcony rooms had a great view of the river and were worth the small supplement, however the rooms were looking a little tired but we were assured a refurb... more

We stayed at Hotel Wroxham, in November 2004, to attend the wedding of friends at a nearby village church. We found the hotel welcoming and friendly and the staff were well able to cope with our two children roaming around. Our experience of the resturant facilities was very good with our food being both tasty and without undue delay, the... more
