We intended to stay at the Travelodge in Norwich for 4 nights in September at a rate of £55 per night, however we booked out after staying just 1 night. The room itself was just OK, the bathroom was jaded (no soap) but the bed was awful. After spending a restless night on the cheapest mattress ever and getting up... more

19 Nov 2009 | Trip type: Family

This travelodge is not at all suitable for families. Whilst well situated for shopping in Norwich it seems to be frequented by young party animals who have no respect for other people. During our stay we where kept awake not only by the bus station, which was still noisy despite our window being closed, but by other guests running up... more

I stayed here for two nights with a colleague towards the end of October 2009 as we were doing some work for a local Travel Business. I travelled by coach and m colleague travelled by train both from the North West. The hotel is about a twenty minute walk, or five minute taxi or bus ride from the Train Station... more

The room had a funny smell, but it was spotlessly clean and roomy. Despite overlooking the bus station it was quieter than the previous Travelodge we had stayed in, in Uxbridge. Although it was cold at night the room was warm. We did not eat here, but a kettle was in the room with tea and coffee supplied daily. Drop... more

We booked travelodge expecting to receive a basic, clean standard of accommodation. What a shock. We were verbally abused by drunken stags and hens partying in the hall way (this was on our way out in the afternoon!!) and the staff could not care less. Our room was filthy and very uncomfortable. There was, what I guess, drinking chocolate splattered... more

My husband and I stayed for a 3 night break. It took 3 roomsbefore we were given one that was acceptable even thought it was below standard but by that time we were past caring. The final room we were given had 2 lights out, and was very hot and we could only open the window a little. We had... more

I stayed here for one night and it was bogin. The carpet was filthy and the room was stinking of smoke. There looked like well a "substance" splashed down the side of the 1970's bed. I have stayed in many hotels and as past of my work I tend to know what to expect in travel lodges, I didnt expect... more

Visited on a cool week in July and the rooms and corridors were very hot. Couldn't open the window much to let air in. Also a noisy location with the bus station on one side and the ring road junction on the other more

I stayed here for one night with my fiance as we were going to a wedding and it was the closest hotel. Firstly the hotel doesn't have a car park, however there is an NCP car park next door (£12 for 24hrs plus a £4 overnight charge). The hotel room itself was fine, although the mattress was very soft, but... more

I stayed here for two nights at a supersaver rate of £19. The travelodge is very centrally located, right next to the Bus Station or a brisk walk from the rail station. The travelodge is very noisy, even with double glazing the noise from the road is considerable, alternatively you can forgo the road and have the comings and goings... more
