Stayed at the Lansdowne back in August for a few days. The hotel is different to say the least. I wouldn't say it was terrible but I certainly wouldn't return as it's not my cup of tea. Only stayed one night so just managed to bear it. It is very 70s although the staff are pleasant enough as long as you don't ask for anything out of the ordinary. Didn't like the prison style doors to each room! more

Great location, walking distance from bars, clubs and restaurants, very helpful and friendly staff. Basic accommodation but good value for money. Excellent dinner, would stay again. more

Arrived in 2006 to be greeted by 1970, with the requisite decor and beurocracy. Had requested a no-smoking room, got a smoking room. The en-suite contained soap, shampoo and a shower hat, but no shower. Left the next day (with more paperwork). Unless you enjoy time travel the only thing this hotel has in its favour is the location. Forget... more
