Gothic House is an elegant Regency town house located in a quiet leafy courtyard in the heart of the historic part of Norwich. It is close to the cathedral, transport links and the shopping areas. The house has been extensively refurbished and redecorated in a highly individual style yet sympathetic to its Regency origins. We have two spacious guest rooms: one double with a king-sized bed and a twin with 2 four-foot beds. more » « less

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of the Norwich Festival in May 08. It was centrally located and very convenient. Clive provided clear instructions so Gothic House was very easy to reach by road. Parking inside the courtyard was fine. We arrived later than expected due to traffic problems and were treated to home made cake, tea... more

My wife and I spent three very enjoyable nights at Gothic House. We were welcomed with wine and as it was my birthday, Clive put on something extra special for our first breakfast, mmmm, delcious! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room expeditious to relax in. A full fruit bowl with ginger nibbles on the side was much appreciated... more

Gothic House is so stylish that the label B&B doesn't do it justice. The owner Clive had thought of every detail to make our stay lovely, from easy directions for finding it, to the beautiful decor, the comfortable and spacious bedroom and the delicious breakfast. We were on a nostalgic trip to Norwich, but actually the Gothic House is a... more

From the moment we arrived I felt very comfortable and well looked after. Gothic House is beautifully decorated and has loads of personal touches that made me feel pampered and special. Nothing was too much trouble for Clive (under the watchful supervision of Tensing). The house is remarkably peaceful despite its close proximity to Norwich city centre. I've already recommended... more

We've just come back from a one night stay at Gothic House. We found it to be a delightful find which we would recomend to anyone wanting to visit Norwich. A gorgeous old house in a lovely part of the city, the house is packed with character and furnished beautifully. Also a great breakfast watching the Easter Sunday snow added... more

Very comfortable and welcoming B&B. The towels and dressing gowns are a rare treat more likely to be found in a top hotel yet with the friendly feel of staying in someone's much loved home. Clive is a friendly host who cooks a great breakfast from local produce and makes every effort to ensure your comfort. On calling to say... more

I stayed here for a weekend in cold January and Gothic House offered everything to ensure I had a relaxing stay in Norwich plus the extra touch of quality - fluffy dressing gowns, home made shortbread for early morning tea and a breakfast menu which was extensive. The breakfast was well presented and the owner clearly used a decent butchers... more

Gothic House is a small (two bedrooms) and friendly B&B within walking distance of the city centre and some excellent real ale pubs. The place is beautifully decorated, the bathrooms had fluffy towels and Molton Brown products and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfasts were good as well! more

A brilliant hideaway in a gated court which makes parking problems evaporate. The beds are so nice you don't want to get up and the ironed, crisp sheets and soft towels are like a five star hotel. Breakfasts are from local sources and very tasty and beautifully presented. If you are a person with interest in ships and ocean liners,... more
