We chose this as a way point on our hard drive North in the UK and were very very disappointed.... that we did not stay longer than one night. The farm was the most relaxing surround to sit and enjoy the sunsets in, with our HUGE barn room being more than we had hoped for. The dining area was beautiful... more

We picked this B&B from the internet and can honestly say it was the most enjoyable 5 day stay we have ever had anywhere ! Cannot fault anything - service - room - breakfast - cleanliness, and Janet herself is charming! She fully understands the needs of her customers and delivers without fail. Highly recommended! Brickfields Farm provides an excellent B & B facility in a quiet rural and peaceful setting. Janet has achieved a unique B & B Brand by combining the higest standards of care, accomodation and service (the 'Wow' factor) with a comfortable, elegant, homely and calm atmosphere. This is topped by her par excellence cooking and presentation. Highly recommended. more

Downside no menu choice at breakfast, only orange juice, no summer berries no yoghurts, vegetarian choice nil points. Older waitress showed no courtesy & no smile, younger one v pleasant. It's nice to help yourself to fruit that you want not what was ready put on your table, no other juice except orange which I don't like, asked for Apple... more

I'm not usually lost for words but Brickfields Farm was marvellous. What made it great was the small touches, the quality of the furniture, the fresh milk and water in the fridge(!), a spotless bathroom, towelling robes, an umbrella, a leather sofa and a 7ft bed! Mix that with Yorkshire countryside and you have the standard by which Farmhouse B&B... more

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the barn rooms. Super room straight out of an issue of "House and Garden". Janet our host served up the most sumptuous breakfast which set us up for the day. Our room with the king sized bed was well equipped with a cosy leather sofa to admire the view. Kirbymoorside is a... more

Peaceful rural idyll Located up a farm track, just on the edge of Kirkbymoorside, Brickfields farm is a gem. The only sounds you hear from the luxury of your super king-size bed is the sheep and Janet's guinea fowl as you look out over the terrace to the fields beyond. Your large room is well appointed with mod cons –... more

Large and extremely comfortable rooms, very bright and airy, furnished in neutral colours. En-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers and are stocked with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Huge breakfasts. This is 21st century British B&B. Convenient for Moors and Coast, not too far from Castle Howard either (obviously you'll need a car for all of these). more

Stayed in one of the barn rooms, the largest one; excellent room with everything you need including little touches such as yorkshire biscuits, sweets and fresh flowers. A lovely large wetroom with shower. Very comfortable large bed. Janet is an excellent hostess and really enjoys what she does. Look out for the extra special breakfast; just the job to set... more

My wife and I stayed here early September for four nights. We have travelled the world and with one possible exception in New Zealand, Brickfields Farm is the best B&B we have stayed in, in fact far better than many hotel rooms. Well done Janet. We stayed in one of the barn conversions, a big room with high quality furniture... more
