Had a two night weekend break in Whitby recently,stayed in silver 3 which is part of discovery accomodation. This is a self contained apartment,complete with its own front door,kitchen,lounge ,bathroom and bedroom. Would never visit this hotel again! Service from the manager was appalling! My family booked online a night’s stay at Discovery Accommodation in Whitby. We booked one room and a two bedroom suite for the 5th of September (2009). After a 4 hour drive we arrived at the hotel, but the lady on reception had no record of our booking.... more

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights - we booked primarily because of the parking and a couple of positive reviews however the accommodation simply didn't live up to the hype. There was a complete mix up with keys, mould in the bathroom and a general air of damp about the place. VERY disappointing. more

Spent a lot of money booking what we thought was a luxury self-catering property. Discovery House did not match up to the pictures on the internet. The kitchen was dirty and unhygenic.
