We have stayed at Broom House before and knew what to expect. We booked a last minute break and stayed for one night in the small double on the top floor. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom toiletries were of the finest quality. The breakfast was fantastic, quality sausages and bacon etc. and homemade jam. Since we last... more

My husband, daughter (10) and I stayed here for two nights recently. It was really quiet and peaceful. The room was up in the attic - but was decorated nicely and had a good size en suite bathroom. Everything was as described by other reviewers on this website. Toiletries, towelling robes, cookies....the breakfasts were excellent and the staff friendly. The... more

My husband and I spent a lovely weekend at Broom House, having booked the Dinner Bed and Breakfast option. We hadn't realised before we booked that there was a War Weekend event going on, connected to the local steam railway, but happily we were able to take in some of that, as well as doing some walking and sightseeing. Our... more

We stayed at Broom House for two nights and I can honestly say it is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and are very tasteful. There are even towelling dressing gowns, shoe polish and a sewing kit. The bathroom was lovely with a soft closing WC! here is a guests'... more

They say you leave the best for the last. Well that was our Broom House experience from the outset. All my initial communications with Broom House were very prompt and professional. We walked into Egton Bridge and after finding Broom House on a map we headed up Broom Road. It was a bit farther than we thought so asked someone... more

my wife and i went for a romantic long weekend and Broom House was the perfect location. The house itself is beautifully decorated and the restuaurant is warm and inviting. We went for the Dinner Bed and Breakfast option and the food was amazing and really good value. All 3 courses were excellent on both nights- and the breakfasts were... more

Stayed at Broom House for a one night getaway with my hubby. Booked via laterooms after checking tripadvisor reviews. Delighted to receive a direct call from David the owner shortly after booking asking if I wanted to reserve a table for dinner at their bistro restaurant and checking our arrival time. This was a typical example of his attention to... more

Stayed one night in the economy double, although small the room was exceptionally comfortable and we loved the little extras (robes, home-made chocs and biscuits etc.). We had a very warm welcome and all the staff were hugely friendly and helpful. The accommodation is smart and the breakfast was fresh, local and fantastic. Great location - lovely little village. The... more

A lovely place to stay, away from the busy city life. Rooms are modern, beds comfortable, bathrooms have modern fittings with fluffy bathrobes. We stayed in room 3, smallish but comfortable(twin beds 2' 6") which overlooked the garden and the little local train track(only a few trains a day which did not disturb at all) We looked at most of... more

Broom House is underated as just a B&B. We stayed there a few weeks ago and were so sorry to leave this wonderful place. The accommodation is everything and more that is advertised and the food is wonderful. Maria and David are warm and friendly hosts and Maria is an exceptional cook. If it were up to us, we'd rate... more
