This is a lovely B&B in a tucked away location with beautiful views and great hosts. The B&B has plenty of parking and pretty garden grounds (the owners sell chutney made from the fruit in their orchard). Our room was at the top of the house and very comfortable with a good sized bathroom and the usual tea/coffee facilities. (With... more

A hidden gem in a perfect setting. Accommodation, hosts, breakfast (with an additional choice of kippers or haddock) cannot be faulted. I am particularly fussy when it comes to bathrooms, but I was not disappointed, it was immaculate. Great location to access the Moors, Whitby, Goathland (Aidensfield/Heartbeat country). If you have a car then make sure you visit Runswick Bay... more

Very pleasant high quality b&b. Good on all counts, though not cheap. Compact but very attractive room. Comfy bed. Nice little touches like a hair drier. Owners pleasant. Breakfasts good. Lovely scenery. Less than a mile from the Beggars Bridge (folkies will know the Vin Garbutt song) where we glimpsed an otter. A roe deer blocking the road outside early... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night midweek in April. I'd booked this one because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor, and thankfully wasn't disappointed. The B&B is in the middle of nowhere really, so if you're wanting to get away from it all then this will suit you fine. It's a beautiful area, six miles from Whitby... more

Broom House is set among the hills, trees, valleys and the peace and tranquility of the Esk Valley. This is the place to come to unwind, relax and experience how a Bed & Breakfast establishment should be run! The hosts are welcoming, the house is immaculate and well decorated, and no sign of that familiar "un-loved" run-down look that many... more

We stayed here for a long weekend in August. It was great. We had a twin room at the top of the hotel which was beautifully furnished and had all the extras you could need. Breakfast was fantastic and definetely the best I have ever had in a British B&B. Two pubs in the village, the one closest to the... more

Just had one night at Broom House. When it comes to hotels / guest houses/ restauraunts etc I am fairly fussy, but everything about Broom House was excellent. House is superb, bedrooms, guest lounge and dining room all well decorated and absolutely spotless. Breakfast good quality and owners very friendly. It's within walking distance of 3 pubs and only a... more
