Returned for our 4th stay here. What can I say ! it just gets better and better each time from the wonderful hospitality to the facilities and not forgeting the wonderful setting, absulutely amazing now with the addition of the lamas and goats and chickens. We have just had a 1 night at this marvellous hotel, we stayed in stable room 8, room was brill and so clean, dinner again was faultless and the staff are second to none! We stayed for 3 nights while using as a base for visiting the surrounding area. On arrival we were quickly shown to our accomodation which was a quaint little stable conversion, the room was very nice with double bed and dressing tables up a small set of stairs, downstairs consisted of small 2 seater couch, wardrobe and bathroom. We came here for a meal on bank holiday sunday, however we have visted & stayed here before. One word to describe it FANTASTIC! Food it out of this world, so local however very different! We have just returned from a weekend at Whitby visiting relatives and stayed at the Cross Butts. Our room in the Courtyard was beautifully decorated, clean and so warm thanks to the under-floor heating. We stayed/ate there two nights. We could not fault the food/service.
