Nicely renovated older property in excellent location, with views across to the Abbey and out to sea. It's just above the harbour, so a short walk to the great fish and chip restaurants (Magpie did a fantastic cod and chips). Our room was very clean and modern, comfortable bed, lots of attention to detail. No lounge. Excellent breakfast, nicely cooked... more

I booked a weekend at the Seaview as a last minute break on a recommendation and couldn't have been more impressed by it. The welcome from Brian and Abby was fantastic, as were the room, decor and breakfast. We had an amazing view of the harbour and the Abbey which really added to the whole experience. Definately a place which... more

Super rooms, super view of sea, and super traditional English breakfasts. Brian and Abby have a personal ambition to really make you feel very welcome and comfortable for your stay. A place to recommend, without hesitation. Newly renovated, extremely clean rooms - all en-suite. Character dining room. Coming from Switzerland, it gave an excellent impression of true English hospitality. more

we have just returned from our first stay in whitby, our last couple holiday for a while as our first baby is due in July. Whitby is a fantastic town and Seaview a fantastic B&B. Brian and Abby obviously take pride in their establishment which shows through the attention to the obvious things that you would expect from a B&B,... more

Having just returned from a three day visit to Whitby, I have to add my voice to the throng who consider the Seaview Guest House as the best place to stay in Whitby. The hospitality provided by Brian and Abby is second to none, the bedrooms are extrememely comfortable and recently decorated to an attractive "fifties" theme. The views of... more

This must be one of the best B&Bs of all time! Fantastic decor (1930s/1950s), spotlessly clean, comfy beds, wonderful views of Whitby harbour and the abbey, splendid breakfast and friendly landlord. This was our second stay at Seaview and it will not be our last. more

Would definitely recommend a stay at Seaview, Whitby. Friendly welcome and hospitality throughout our visit. Enjoyed the quirky cool 1950's decor throughout the house. Great breakfast and fantastic location with views from our room over the harbour. Well worth a visit. more

We took a long weekend stay at out favourite location, it was our first stay and certainly will not be our last at this quite wonderful B and B. I’d booked the Seaview on the strength of previous reviews, sometimes reviews can be very subjective to individual tastes, however, everything that was raved about was more than correct. I am... more
