I was in Whitby with my mother and my sister and brother in law for a weekend break. However the ladies really wanted to stay at La Rosa, but they only had 1 room available,,, so me and my brother in law stayed at a different hotel nearby. We had a great weekend and on the Sunday me and my... More

We've stayed at the hotel 4 or 5 times now and loved it every time. Every room is different (I think Lewis is my favourite but we're still working our way through them all!) and decorated in a quirky, vintage style. Beds are piled high with opulent eiderdowns & throws and are very comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to your room... More

just come back from staying at La Rosa hotel in Whitby. We stayed in The Little Red room for two nights. The hotel has got the right idea, it is very unique and full of interesting bits and pieces. The little red room is very small and quaint with a four poster bed. The first night we thought 'wow' this... More

Amazing place, lovely people and incredible room (arabesque). Can't praise highly enough, from the initial contact to the last minute it was a great experience. Can also recommend the tearoom and the bar downstairs - we were also given complimentary tickets to see Maia a brilliant folk group playing the evening we stopped. Whole experience was amazing

Have been looking forward to staying at La Rosa for ages now as we booked a reki here at the beginning of the year...wanted to check it out for my Hen Do in October. So, so happy that we did. I think it is the best hotel Ive ever stayed in. I loved it. Took this trip with my fiance,... More

Ive wanted to stay at this hotel since forever and this weekend finally got too! Originally we had booked into the Saloon room however upon arrival we were told there was a leak in the bath so they had changed us to the Arabesque room which also had a bath. Because of the change the hotel gave us an extra... More

Whitby, its been a place I have meant to go for years... Well it was this year, it was this hotel, also watched and waited for a few years. I have wondered about the rooms I am a person who virtually tours places before I spend my hard earned money in them. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The... More

The most interesting hotel we have stayed in - lots of 'stuff' to look at and keep your interest. It's like stepping into a different world, ever so slightly off kilter! There was a prevailing easterly off the sea with snow when we stayed (March 25 - 27) which meant the room wasn't just cold - there was a bit... More

Went here for a Valentines weekend with my partner who has been desperate to go here for months. It was gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't have done enough for us. The room was awesome, full of interesting things with possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The location was excellent, just across from the... More

Just loved the place! Great cosy room, comfy bed, wonderful views, lovely bath, great picnic breakfast, friendly staff. We went for a 60th birthday treat. They purchased some old collectable items from us when they were setting it all up. It sounded so fascinating when they explained what they were doing we just had to check it out. Brilliant! We...
