After a 4 hour journey from the West Country, we were delighted to be greeted by friendly faces, with tea and shortbread. We spent a long weekend discovering Whitby on foot, galvanised by Deb's hearty, delicious breakfast, and The Magpie's Fish and Chips! Superb! more

They made a big fuss of the kids and whilst I think they are a pain most of the time, they were very tolerant with all their questions and noise. Again the food was good,... more

My husband and 4 friends( All over 50's) went to the Willows, 35 Bagdale, Whitby. We parked our cars in a private spot across the road. Our cars were guarded by some chickens - Brill! Breakfasts were beautifully cooked (my egg was just the way I like it!!) with just the right amount on the plate i.e not too much!! The Willows is close to all the delights of Whitby Debbie and... more

Couldn't agree more with the reviews below. I usually stay in hotels when on holiday or away for weekend breaks but this time my girlfriend and I thought we'd try and bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Willows in early October and had a really pleasant stay. The rooms were decorated nicely, they were clean and cosy and there... more

We went for a second year running this August and received the same friendly welcoming. We were greeted with homemade cake and tea or juice, it really made me feel like they wanted us there. With us all being teenagers aged 17-19 i thought that like some hotels we wouldnt be as welcome as some of the other guests, however... more
