We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and we enjoyed the experience. It is located just 10 minutes walk from the Minster so you cannot fault the location. Car parking was free. The Grange is an excellent small hotel, with a great location just five minutes' walk from the centre of York. We visit York on the 2nd January every year for a short break and have done for a number of years now, and for the past 3 years we have used the Grange Hotel in York as our hotel of choice it is in a fabulous location very close to the Minster. This hotel is without doubt the best hotel... more

This is a lovely hotel very close to the city centre (5 min walk). The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpfull they made our special trip that much more enjoyable. We stayed for one night between Christmas and New Year , 3 adults and one child in adjoining rooms. The ambience at this time of year in the hotel was lovely , the rooms well appointed and spotless.In addition nothing was too much trouble for the management and staff. An excellent hotel to visit at Christmas. Log fires, Georgian spleandour, clean comfortable rooms. Very small negative was size of car park but staff coped with this really well and operated a form of valet parking. more
