Lovely modern hotel, ideal position, great view out of bar on to river, rooms were bright and modern, staff very helpful, breakfast buffet was really nice, full english, not had better anywhere else, lots to choose from. Would def reccommend and come again ourselves. more

We had a river view superior room, which was large, lovely roomy bathroom but no bath, we had a balcony which could have done with a couple of seats, especially in the summer. I would recommend the Park Inn York to other business travellers. The rooms are light, airy and clean and the staff are very efficient and friendly. Evening meal was good for the money and breakfast offerred a wide variety of choice. Plenty of freeview channels on the TV too! Very good! more

The hotel was ideal for sightseeing being within walking distance to the main attractions in the town. However, the hotel itself seems to specialise in conferences and meetings and it seems to do well at it. The downside is that you get these drunk delegates marauding about the hotel at all hours. When booking this room, we were told we were paying for an 'upgraded' room. What we got was a standard room with a view of the river. When we asked what made it an upgrdade, the indignant reply was that we had a nice view, free water and a film! We had no water and no instructions regarding the film... more
