We had a wonderful weekend stay in the Mpumalanga Room. The bed was so comfy, much needed after lots of walking the streets of York. The breakfast was excellent, fully recommend the scrambled eggs with salmon. David and Elaine paid so much attention to detail and we felt very well cared for, the perfect hosts. We will definitely choose Feversham... more

Stayed at this charming b&b in October to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday. Both rooms were very comfortable with every thing you needed, we stayed in the African theme room which reminded us of our holiday in South Africa. David and Elaine are great hosts making you feel at home, giving you great tips for your stay in... more

David and Elaine made us very welcome as soon as we arrived. We stayed in the African themed room wich was lovely, Yes the bathroom ceiling was a little low for my 6ft 2 partner but he never complained. The rooms had tv/dvd and we had access to a dvd library wit up to date films to watch. David was... more

We had a lovely stay at Easter and would highly recommend it . The rooms were well furnished and had every home comfort. The breakfast was great and catered for all tastes. David , our host was very informative about where to eat out etc and had good knowledge about the area. It is fairly central to York as its... more

Stayed at the Feversham after reading the previous excellent reviews and came away a little disappointed. Stayed in the African themed room and found it rather small and cramped, with bathroom not suitable for anyone over 5ft tall(shaved bent over double).Cooked breakfast consisted of 1 frozen sausage,2 rashers of under cooked bacon,1 frozen hash brown,2 eggs of your choice ,mushrooms and... more

We really enjoyed our recent visit to York, made better by the excellent accomodation at the Feversham Lodge. David & Elaine made us feel more than welcome and we would highly recommend the guest house. We hope to re-visit York again later this year and without a doubt will be staying at Feversham Lodge. more

Since our son began university in York nearly four years ago, we were fortunate to discover Feversham Lodge and have been regular visitors ever since - we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else in York. We are always made so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for David and Elaine - they regularly invite our son to breakfast. We... more

We have just returned from a weekend stay and don't have a bad word to say Feversham Lodge. Having been let down the day before by another B&B, we stumbled upon this little jewel by chance. Upon arrival we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. David gave us the guided tour, along with hints and tips on must sees... more

Having just returned home after an extended holiday I felt compelled to post a review of the best place we stayed in. Feversham Lodge is a Victorian house in York which has been tastefully refurbished. Our party stayed in the Guinevere and Normandie rooms. The rooms are all themed and ours were furnished to a very high standard. The guest... more

We stayed in York for a long weekend and found Feversham Lodge via the York Tourist Board website. The hospitality we received throughout was first class. From the moment we arrived, David and Elaine went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and were the perfect hosts. Upon arrival we were shown personally to our room and David... more
