Stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed York. The hotel is a little dated but clean and very well positioned. Food in restaurant very good value for the money. Staff friendly . Lots to see and do in York unfortunately the weather was terrible. more

Stayed here for 2 nights and was more then happy with the hotel, it is true to say the decor is a bit stuck in the middle 1980s and the liberal use of plastic flowers my not be to everyones taste. However the rooms are spacious and well equipped, my room overlooked a lovely little garden on the first floor,... more

I booked a triple room here for 3 mature ladies. When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded into one of the cottages. This large room was absolutely delightful. It included a double bed & 2 singles, a nice modern bathroom & plenty of room for all 3 of us to sit around & watch TV. It... more

A lovely hotel in a great location. The service was first class and very friendly at ALL times. The room was comfortable and more than adequate. We ate in the restaurant on sat night and can honestly say that the food was fantastic and very hot and well worth the price. Overall a great weekend and we WILL certainly be... more

My wife and I stayed for three nights, half board, in February,2008 and booked via their website. On arrival found we had room eight which had large bedroom, bathroom and own private sitting room. The hotel is being totally upgraded and now has lovely reception area, lounge, bar, two dining rooms, gymnasium and pool. All the staff were brilliant and nothing... more

we have just returned from this hotel, it would of been nice to know that there was a seperate building which was part of the hotel, we had the unfortunate luck to be in this building, walking across to the hotel reception at night was terrible, the pathway was badly lit and the heels of my shoes went through the... more

The Hotel looks lovely, (6 listed buildings) but the bedrooms are exceptionally dated. Room 30 has a couple of skylights, but no window to look out of, very dreary. A tiny bathroom that had seen better days along time ago and the bathroom of the room next door is directly behind the headboards of the twin beds you can hear... more
