My daughters and I stayed at Carlton house for a de-stressing, get together weekend. The hotel is well situated - just a short walk into York and to the station. A very relaxed, warm atmosphere in the house, with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and service - Thank you. more

Stayed Friday to Sunday in October. Lovely and clean guest house,located just 10 mins away from city centre. We had a double room which was excellent with very nice modern ensuite bathroom . a standard, well-run, guest house. we had a large room that was clean, but not luxurious. the location is great, a 10 minute walk from the city centre. The owners were helpful, and provided useful tips on where to eat and what to see. more

We arrived late in the afternoon and we were only able to go on the Ghost Walk Tour that statrs in front of the Shambles. It was an enjoyable tour. Within walking distance of the town center. The Carlton house is a lovely B&B. more

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely spacious family room with a very good standard of decor and plenty of storage for a short trip.
