Couldnt fault Carlton House at all, great location within walking distance of city, far enough away from hustle n bustle. Spacious, clean, warm, well appointed room. Fantastic hosts and staff. Great breakfast with vast choice, freshly cooked and served with a smile. Added bonus of a private car park (not many can boast that).

Carlton House a delightful place to stay. Location perfect for the lovely city of York. Walking distance to everywhere. Car parking facilities, so our cars did not move for the whole weekend!
