Stayed here on a weekend to York. Found the location fine and the staff very friendly. The inn had a lovely homely feel to it and the food that we had on the Saturday was lovely and we can definately recommend the Banoffee Roulade that was to die for! more

A large group of friends had booked weekend rooms in this hotel for a wedding, we were all staying for Friday and Saturday night. When we called, months later, to check our bookings we were informed that we had not booked for Saturday night at all, in fact the hotel had been booked up for a wedding on that night.... more

Stayed here over the weekend with a small group and found the sevice good, food good and overall a pleasant stay. I have read the other reviews and must say I had an all together experience. A shocking experience for our recent outing into York. The problems with this hotel emerged before we even arrived, I phoned the day before arrival to confirm our booking only to be told they had never heard of us.
