Grand victorian entrance and stairs. Room was adequate in size (a normal double) well appointed with a large tv, modern bathroom etc. Staff were helpful, even rustling up caffeine free tea bags, and coping with my failed attempt to book through a booking web site. I stayed at this hotel for the weekend with my family as a surprise for my mums birthday. The staff were very helpful, the room was lovely and the location is only 10 mins walk into York. I cannot fault this hotel at all. I will certainly recommend and will definitely be staying there again. More

Stayed here for one night. Excellent breakfast. Lovely bathroom and room more than adequate. Good nights sleep. Really only ten minutes walk to York Minster. Will definitely stay here again. More
