I booked for my mum and myself to stay at the Bootham for one night in December as a birthday treat to York. I was able to book just one night on a friday which a lot of guest houses will not accomodate in York (they ask you to stay 2 nights at a weekend.) The price was very reasonable... more

This was a nice B&B all around. Very pleasant staff. Warm and friendly hosts. Enjoyed our room which was fairly spacious, although the bathroom had an unpleasant smell we could never quite place. The location is convenient to the sites of York. I would stay here again, but might also be inclined to explore other lodging options in York. more

Great location on a quite side street just a few blocks from town. Emma was very helpful recommending restaurants for dinner and internet cafe locations. Plentiful breakfast. I scored it a 4 vs a 5 because our room was a little small. I'd absolutely stay there again and will recommended it to friends. more
