Well having spent a considerable time online looking for a nice place to stay in York we finally chose the Lighthorseman due to the good reviews on this site and, I'm so glad we did. Stayed at the Lighthorseman on Fri & Sat night with a friend, sharing a twin room, which was very clean, pleasantly decorated with a small flat screen tv. Bathroom was clean and quite spacious. If you are looking for somewhere good to stay in York, then the Lighhorseman is the place to stay. This is the second time we have stayed and will look at staying again next year. Stayed here for 4 nights. Made to feel welcome from the start. Room clean and very comfortable. Food very very good value. Breakfast sets you up for the day. All staff couldn't be more helpful.
