Ian and Annette couldn't have been more accomedating. Lovely B&B, we only stayed the two nights and it was like we were staying for a week. It is a little out of York so be prepared to catch a bus however the walk into town along the river is lovely and takes 30mins.

We booked in at very short notice and was greeted by Bob and Claire, a very charming, genuine and lovely couple. Great place to stay in York. Amazing breakfasts. Would recommend booking ahead - very popular place. Hosts could not have been more helpful with dinner suggestions, walks, drives, etc. Their local knowledge was invaluable

We stayed in the four-poster bedroom here for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. Ian and Annette were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Everywhere was very clean, tidy, warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was great!

Midway House is a great choice for a York visit with lovely owners. Rooms were warm and clean, breakfast was delicious and it had easy access to York centre while not being stuck right in the middle.
