OK - I thought from their website that this was an old railway sidings converted into accommodation with a restauraunt. I did not expect to see tired, ancient railway carriages with condensation pouring down the windows to be offered as accommodation; sited right next to the main line into York! I wanted to give this hotel a good review as it caters for railway enthusiasts and fills a niche market. We arrived at 2pm and where shown to our room by a very nice girl, we had booked the Four Poster room at £90 per day. For that money I would have expected better, it consisted of the end of... more

Husband phoned and checked breakfast times as we had somewhere to be early morning. He was told, just tell us what time you want it. Complete form on arrival with required breakfast time. 45 minutes after this time hotel was still deserted. No staff available anywhere.
