After dropping our daughter back in Durham we decided to break up our journey back to Swindon by visiting York for the 1st time. We were disappointed with the room we were given. The four poster bed was dreary and cheap looking, it had no drapes and looked out of place. The bathroom was a major let down. This hotel was superb with friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and loads of choice catered for everyone. We stayed in Room one. I would definitely go back. A little way from the centre though if walking on a night (with heeled shoes!) more
A well situated guesthouse. Cannot fault the staff or accomodation. A nice suprise to see a good choice for breakfast. I would definately stay here again. more
We stayed in the family room which inluded a separte anex for the two children. We were welcome warmly on our arrival and at breakfast next morning. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to leave our car and walk into town to see the sights. Highly recommended. more
Just returned for holme lea manor,my wife took me there for my 40th birthday and i must say it was a great place to stay,the room was lovely,breakfast was great ,not far to centre of town,all in all we would definately return more
Very friendly staff , homely atmosphere , massive breakfast ,a beautiful room and only 10 mins walk from the Minster We've stayed in York many times and will definatly be returning to Holme Lea. more
Stayed here and wasn't expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised by the place.
