Me and the other half wanted to stay in York for the first time to experience the night life and ghost walks, we looked everywhere for a central b&b to stay in for one night but they were either full or very expensive for one night. We was recommended this inn from friends so decided to have a look, it... More

This lunchtime choices were taken from the 'winter menu' which had two set meal prices. We chose from the cheaper one of just over £5.00. Unfortunately neither of our choices were available, we had fish and chips and very good it was too. Add to that a good selection of ales a good luncheon was had. In addition underneath the... More

One can not ask for a better location for enjoy York than the Roman Bath which is located in the heart of town in the Shambles. The room was inexpensive, clean and modern and the bathroom en suite (though a tad bijou). Our reception and treatment by the staff was at all times friendly and professional. Uniquely for a B&B... Called in for a drink with foreign visitors. How disappointing, v unfriendly service it wasnt even busy, and dull worn furniture. Just an overall dull experience considering it is in the middle of a tourist centre. Possibly it relies for trade on museum beneath.

Visited this pub with my husband in November. I'm afraid I have to disagree with other reviews on here, I really disliked this place, it was reminiscent of an old working mans club. The beer tasted awful and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Will definitely not be revisiting.

I was luck enough to stumble upon the Roman Bath when I got to York. Stayed for two nights in mid-October. Paul and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was also limited car parking which I was lucky enough to score. There is music most nights but it's finished by 11 and adds to the... More
