One can not ask for a better location for enjoy York than the Roman Bath which is located in the heart of town in the Shambles. Called in for a drink with foreign visitors. How disappointing, v unfriendly service it wasnt even busy, and dull worn furniture. Just an overall dull experience considering it is in the middle of a tourist centre. Possibly it relies for trade on museum beneath.

Visited this pub with my husband in November. I'm afraid I have to disagree with other reviews on here, I really disliked this place, it was reminiscent of an old working mans club. The beer tasted awful and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Will definitely not be revisiting.

Stayed with my partner and two friends of ours for the night. a great location for only £35 pppn including breakfast. the rooms are clean the food is good and the staff are friendly. been hear before and will defiantly come back.

only went for lunch,thourgt it was quite expensive for a sandwich,but when it arrived it was jam packed with tuna and came with chips so all in all a good price i hadnt been to york for years but i would go back to roman baths for lunch or evening meal carole and bob
