First impressions, tired, out of date, neglected & dirty. I've stayed in lots of pubs, but none so in need of updating. We were given the 'best' room, the 4 poster room. The bed was naff (although it was clean), the room was in dire need of redecoration & there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling ! Most surfaces were... more

Well, the hotel and pub are amazing. The service was absolutely brilliantl. Thw waitress had a kinky spot for me :) But her butt was seriously just lovely and tight with not too much filling...till I nailed it. more

Okay, the price was reasonable but you'd expect a clean room. The carpet was very dirty, no, I mean very dirty, like a before advert for carpet cleaner, but at least that dirt was static and if you kept your shoes on you were okay. However, the cobwebs and visible dust could have been easily cleaned. Thankfully I didn't need... more

Stayed here 16.10.09 to 19.10.09 on one of their buy two nights get a third night free offer. Continental breakfast was really good. Could upgrade to a cooked breakfast but it was not as cheap as some offers in town. Ate at the pub Friday night and Sunday. On Friday the food was all really overcooked and dried out. No... more

The Black Bull Inn is part of the Innkeepers Lodge chain and suits me just perfect! Easy to get to and excellent location for my appointments - the buses even stop outside. Cosy, clean, great facilities for a chain hotel and the staff are superb. If you book early enough there are some great deals, even the regular price is... more

Stayed here at the Black Bull 1 night because I could not get into my usual b&b's in Riccall nearby. Was given a room where the paper was coming off the wall, because water had obviously run down from the roof. The bed headboard was falling off, a hinge was broken on the wardrobe. The spare pillows and blankets were... more

I have now stayed at The Black Bull 3 times and have booked to go back next week. Stayed at the parsonage twice and much prefer the Black Bull. The staff are a great crowd and always willing to help. it is an ideal place to stay while working in the area. The food has been first class each time... more

The WiFi advertised did not work at all so I had no internet access. Staff were not very friendly and the room was poor - looked as if furniture had been bought from second hand shop and placed in room at random - it did not match the room. Would not have minded if it were cheaper but very poor... more

We stayed in the Family room and I can honestly say I would never stay here again. We had the choice of staying at the Parsonage and I wish we'd chosen that and paid the extra money. The room we stayed in was is in a bad state of repair. Curtains were hanging off the rail, the carpets were dirty,... more

The room was a great size for two adults and two kids. The room itself was clean, but I had to clean the toilet when I arrived because although everything else seemed to have been cleaned this was over looked. The bed was the most uncomfy bed I think I have ever slept in. The food in the pub was... more
