This is a fantastic boutique hotel. The superior room we'd booked was amazing, beautifully decorated with a fantastic bathroom complete with free standing bath and massive wet room shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We'd taken advantage of their Sunday night deal where as long as you spend £75 in the... more

I booked this hotel for a romantic weekend in York, I couldn't have picked a better hotel. Very easy to find and located within walking distance of the train station and tourist attractions. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who took time to talk to us about our visit. Room was very relaxing and warm with a... more

I have had the pleasure to stay at Hotel Du vin twice. Each time I have taken my three year old daughter emily and six year ol Jack. I must say to any parents travelling with small children, STAY HERE! There is a great team of staff who are happy to help reccommend, book, assist, carry or just simply open... more

I recently stayed at the Hotel Du Vin York on a very good Dinner,Bed and Breakfast package. I have to say I have stayed in some of the best hotels throughout the country and this hotel is one of the best. From start to finish everything was fantastic. The service was second to none with the real feeling that everyone... more

Snooty and a bit condescending. They have wines on their list for £500.00 that can be bought at the wine warehouse for just over a tenner... Plus, I got the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had immediately after eating there and I hadn't eaten anything else since breakfast. I was sick for about 2 weeks. It looks good... more

A 3 day stay just before Christmas was marred by poor value for money. Although we had a great deal for the room, we found the restaurant expensive with poor portions. Bread is extra and a pan fried sea bass was literally one fillet of a very small fish. Drinks prices are high with 25cl measures at £4.00 upwards. Petit... more

Four of us stayed here for NYE 2009. We checked in after 3pm and only one of the rooms was ready so we had to drop our stuff in one room and go out. They should of both been ready for 3pm and there was no apology or reason why our room wasn't ready? When we came back at 5.30pm... more

We stayed with friends in two rooms for one night, hotel its trendy and cosy one of the best Hotel du vin i ever stayed. but agreed with everybody the food at the bistro of the hotel was really disappointing, it felt more like the food you will eat at a pub, waiter misleading us to order some main courses... more

We arrived on Xmas day afternoon, tired after a long drive from Sussex. Check in took a long time as they seemed to be under-staffed; however, any smidgen of irritation immediately vanished when we were informed with a smile that they had upgraded us to a suite (de Trafford). De Trafford was indeed lovely, with a gigantic bed, a large... more

First of all, we found our room rather small for a hotel du vin, more like a typical under sized hotel bedroom in London. The room can get really hot and stuffy especially after a shower even with the AirCon to the lowest temperature. We were not very impressed with the quality of the food served for dinner, however, they... more
