We stayed for 3 nights having cut short a trip to Scotland because of bad weather. We were referred to Steppe Haugh by the kind staff at the national park Visitor centre in Hawes. Steppe Haugh fitted our criteria perfectly - quiet, no smoking, no pets but with parking. We were delighted with this place and aim to return. The welcome and indeed our whole stay was very friendly with excellent breakfasts. The bedroom was a little on the small side but fine for 3 nights. It's right on the edge of Hawes but still just 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the shops cafes etc. And having off street parking in Hawes is a real bonus. All in all a very enjoyable experience. more
