Just come back from a long weekend at ellerbeck. What a beautiful b&b, we spent hours admiring the house where care had obviously been put into every little detail. Perfect base for keen walkers, three peaks challenge or beautiful walks around clapham for example. Lots of maps and walking books on display so you can leaf through at night in... More

Harriet was the perfect host, sharing her home with my son and I. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she was delightful. We had our own space on the top floor (including space to put clothes away), complete with tea and coffee etc, but were more than welcome to use her sitting room in front of the fire, with... More

Harriet has restored Ellerbeck beautifully and she and the house offer the warmest of welcomes. We enjoyed our short stay very much and the evening meal at the pub was superb. A true home away from home, thank you for such a wonderful visit.

This is an extraordinarily good B&B. I've stayed in a lot of Sawday properties and Wolsey Lodges, all of which have been good, but this is exceptional by any standard. The house itself is a gem, beautifully restored by Harriet. Her eye for colour and style is impeccable: each room is lovely. It's also brilliantly comfortable: a superb bed, quality... More

I couldn't fault anything about Ellerbeck House. The Georgian house with its original features has been brought to life by Harriet. It is a real treat to stay there. As an artist I thoroughly appreciated all the colours and artist features in the house not to mention the interesting prints and artwork on the walls. The bedroom was extremely comfortable,... More
