We stayed at the Church Farm Lodge last December while visiting family in a neighboring town. The lodge is just a few miles from the A1. This is still a working farm; the owners work the farm and manage the lodge.

We stayed in the Appleton Suite, which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms are renovated stables, which are quaint and very clean. Internet access is available for 24 hour periods for a fee comparable to what you would pay in a hotel.

The lodge is approximately two hours from London Heathrow; two hours to Bath, niney minutes to Oxford; and four hours from Durham.

We found the lodge and rooms to be exactly as represented on the website. more
