We booked on a Friday afternoon for a weekend stay starting that night. Arrived quite late so checking-in at the bar took a bit of time as the staff were busy serving customers. Pleasently surprised at the room (we upgraded), nice, clean decor and large. Bathroom ok with good shower. Flat-screen TV in room was a bit small, but was... more

We stayed at the Hopping Hare for one night after visiting a show at Althorp Park. At first we were a bit worried about finding the place, but wasn't a problem as they are well signposted. Check in was ok, just done at the bar, first impressions of the place is that it is modern and wished we were having... more

Having seen the mixed reviews on the Hopping Hare, just wanted to put in a few thoughts from a local's view. It's on the edge of a housing estate - looks like a big old house, apart from the signage outside of course. When you enter the pub, the main bar area is on the left and the restaurant and... more

We stayed here while visting Silverstone Circuit and couldn't believe our good fortune for discovering such a hidden gem. We actually got quite lost trying to find it - mainly our fault since we didn't have a map nor gps. The general manager of the Hopping Hare went above and beyond to help us find our way and we were... more

We stayed here for one night while visiting friends nearby The rooms are great value - really spacious with really nice bathrooms with Porcelanosa fittings. It is in a slightly odd location, on the corner of a modern housing estate, but don't let that put you off. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining area and were very impressed... more

Three of us went to lunch together with a seven week old baby . We ordered drinks but when we went to order food we were advised of the no under ten policy. We had to leave and so went to the Fox and Hounds at Harlestone which as it turns out was an excellent move! more

My family and I wanted to have lunch there after two people had recommended that their food was good and that they also had child friendly facilities. When we got there, the waitress told us that children were not allowed to come in. We only came with one child and was very disappointed. They should have said black people were... more

Stayed there at the end of July. The Hopping Hare is a modern take on a Hotel, pub and restaurant serving good quality food and a selection of ales. We found the service efficient and friendly, although there did seem to be a problem at breakfast. A number of people were complaining about slow service but this was not the... more

I booked this hotel in Northampton as an alternative to using the other business type hotels. I wanted something different and wasn't disappointed. The Hopping Hare is a hidden gem of a hotel, privately owned, great rooms, food and service. The hotel has just been completed refurbished to a very high standard and the accommodation, food and wine are all... more
