My grandparents stayed here when they were visiting, and they said it was lovely! I myself have not stayed but from what I have gathered, it was a nice stay. I have been to the cafe though and it is lovely. The garden is also lovely. The cakes a delicious and the scones are also! Will be returning!

Have passed the end of the road leading to Simonburn on many occasions and noticed the Tea Room sign, but always in too much of a rush to get somewhere to investigate further. Well yesterday was different!! Had taken my 8 yr old niece to the Falconry Days owl experience and although we’d had some hearty soup, we just fancied... More

We really enjoyed our stay here, it took a while to get there, but it was worth it in the end. So peaceful and quiet, we were welcomed by Ann, who runs the B&B and she does the tea rooms and the shop, also the little Western Terrier, a homely place. The rooms were beautiful, coinciding with the old building... More

We stayed here for 1 night on a cycle trip from bowness on solway to south shields doing the coast to coast. Very airy large family room, comfy beds and fantastic breakfast. Wish we would have had more time to stay and experience the tea rooms too! Fantastic garden full of wildlife, even saw the local woodpecker and Ann feeding... More

Unfortunately this B&B did not meet our expectations. The room was large, but it was right above the kitchen and VERY noisy. We heard every conversation below us, and after the tea room guests left we could hear the noisy fridge all night long! Add to that the noise from the room next door - we had a terrible night's... Ann was fantastic. The property is beautiful. Simonburn is perfect for some rest and relaxation. Lovely countryside. Short drive to Hexham. Dexter is adorable.

We visited for the tea-room, not to stay the night in the B&B - although we made a note in our diary that we would stay sometime. The owners could not be more helpful. The food served was all home made and gorgeous. We sat and watched the birds in the garden. It was so relaxing and a little haven... More

A hearty evening meal, made with the finest produce.... ALL sourced locally. A delicious breakfast, again made from all local produce. Read on ... this gets better!... The beef was melt in the mouth, the veggies were so tasty and the desert.. OMG!!! an amazing homemade plate for the tastebuds! its rare to find 'a good as Mum'.. but my... More

It is a little bit off the beaten track, a long country road, 20 - 30 mins from the next dual carriageway, brings you to Simonburn. If you want to see Roman forts and Hadrian's wall, that's not too far, however. Once you get there, you discover that the way was well worth it... It's incredibly beautiful and quiet in... More

While walking Hadrian's Wall, I stayed at this BnB with two of my family members. Although the hostess, Ann, seemed a pleasant woman, this was the worst BnB experience I've had in the UK. We got a very poor night's sleep because the refridgerated case in the shop was just below our room. This made an incredible noise all night,... More
