Stayed at the hostel with a group of students, we were made most welcome. It is an ideal location for visiting Hadrian's Wall, outdoor adventures, walking and experiencing life on a working farm. We were given a tour of the farm, the hostel facilities were excellent. We cooked our own meals and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. more

Loved the view and location but felt like I was being treated like a child rather than a paying customer. It's a shame because this could have been a great place to stay. more

pos + wonderful location and very quiet / rooms are big enough neg - reception by an old lady who started to instruct us to take off our shoes before entering the house - fine by us but quite strange if you remarked the horrible cat smell as well as cats running downstairs in the house - very old sanitary... more
