Kathryn made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The double room is very comfortable and tastefully decorated with a big bathroom and use of a kitchen to make tea and coffee. Breakast was great. There is a private entrance and when I got drenched out walking that meant I could go back to change. Kathryn booked me a restaurant and made sure I had a taxi number although I chose to walk as Fairshaw Rigg is maybe a couple fo miles from the centre of Hexham. The alpacas are great and Kathryn has some wonderful products made from the wool (but doesnt try to sell unless you ask). I'd recommend Fairshaw Rigg to anyone who likes the country, loves animals or just wants an excellent place to stay in the Hexham area. more
