Strand Cottage is the perfect place to visit the wall - very close to vindolanda, housesteads and the roman army museum. We really enjoyed our stay in the family room, a lot of space for an active child. My son loved that there were books and toys provided in the room and my husband and i liked that there was a video played and a video on bird identification there.
