We discovered this hotel on a recent trip through the English countryside tracking Hadrian's Wall. What a delight to find a hotel which identified so keenly with the stories from "All Creatures Great and Small." What a wonderful Hotel and pub, great stay on the Hadrian's wall path. Great food, drink and staff. Very walker friendly and even did us sandwiches for the next day. more

I thought the atmosphere was great, friendly and comfortable whilst the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and I thouroughly enjoy going here again and again. Highly recommended. more

We had visited the Hadrian on several occasions in the past, and enjoyed it greatly. However, on visiting the Hadrian for a drink, we observed that they displayed a visa sign, and tried to pay with a card, as we frequently do in many pubs. Ever stayed in a hotel where you feel you have known the staff all your life? No? Then this is the place for you.
