First of all just wanted to say that I had most wonderfull night at Battlesteads over Christmas 2011. The food was excellent, the room 8 where I had been was comfortable and very clean. First of all, the Battlesteads is not in Hexham but in Wark 11 miles away so to describe it as a Hexham hotel is misleading.
