Stopped in with 12 friends after a walk for lunch. Good food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. The steak sandwich was good and the fish finger sandwich also got a good review. The venue is large and doesn't feel crowded even though the pub was full.

Had a few pints in here as was my local whilst in the area for a week. didn't eat so can't comment, but very pleasant atmosphere and felt very welcoming. One criticism, i intended returning during the midweek to watch the televised football, but overheard the Owner mention that football is not shown, pity.

Staying in peak forest, this was our local boozer, so would have been rude not to visit it for lunch. We had two courses and enjoyed them both. Interior looked good and bar lady was very friendly. Food was priced a bit high but can't complain as we picked the dishes, knowing how much they cost!

We just had lunch at the pub. The lady that served us was very friendly and accommodating. The food was ok, nothing out of this world but tasty all the same. Just what I expected from a local pub

This was the worst B&B experience I have had in years! A picturesque setting and actually the decor was not too bad, but what a disappointment. It started with them losing our booking (now they only have 6 rooms, and we had emailed and paid a deposit); they never answered the phone, when we arrived the bar was a mess.... More

We stayed at this b&b as a stopover to visit Chatsworth House. We stayed in a twin room with en-suite. Everything was so new and clean. The manager John was fantastic. He was great to chat to and have a laugh with, making us feel very welcome. We ate dinner in the pub and it was the best dinner we... More

Devonshire Arms is right outside Chatsworth, which a friend and I were visiting for the week, so it was a perfect location for that or anyone with a car visiting the Peak District. The place has recently been refurbed so the rooms are clean and easy on the eye, the bed was far better to mine and there was no... More

We stayed for 4 nights using the Devonshire Arms as our base to explore and walk in the Devonshire Peaks and Dales. Being centrally located in White Peak it was an ideal choice. Whilst it would be easy to be critical of certain aspects of our stay, overall it was very good value for money, the room was clean and... More
