I stayed for one night. The hotel is some distance from the city centre, but is close to Trent Bridge and the cricket ground, so ok for that. It's also on a bus route from the train station. I booked it because it was convenient for another bus route which I was using the next day, and because it was relatively cheap for a city hotel (£35 for a single - although I got a very small double).
I was greeted by a grim-faced receptionsit who didn't seem to know much about anything. She took my money and got me to sign a booking form, told me I must fill in the questionnaire attached to it (which turned out to be about cricket, so I didn't), then wandered off without telling me where my room was or what time breakfast was. I had to follow her to ask where the room was. Luckily a notice in the room outlined breakfast arrangements.
The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean, but the carpet could have done with a bit more of a hoovering. However the room was poorly laid out...
