I stayed just one night here after taking my son back to Uni but will definitely stay here again. There are no airs and graces but the place is spotlessly clean and the couple that run it are friendly without being over-intrusive and tipped us off to an excellent place to eat (the Victoria Hotel, a few minutes' walk away).
I had an en suite room, the en suite consisting of a sort of capsule built into the corner of the room - quirky but perfectly functional.
The breakfast (traditional orange juice, cereal, bacon, sausage, egg, tomato and toast) was excellent.
The only downside was the road noise when the window was open.
All in all good value and highly recommended.
