Terrible! This place was booked on our behalf – we were at a wedding, locally. Starting with the positives – the reception staff were friendly and mostly helpful. That aside... cold breakfast and cold room. The place is a maze and awkward to drag your luggage around. Narrow corridors, lots of steps, very poor access, the wifi doesn't work. And... more

We booked our wedding over a year and a half ago with The Beeches and during the lead up to the wedding I found all the staff, in paticular Catherine, extremely helpful and professional. We had booked several rooms for our guests and the feedback from all of the guests was extremely positive and they have advised they would definiatly... more

On arrival receptions very helpful. Rooms small but clean but from there on went down hill. The tea at breakfast was already made to help yourself but was almost undrinkable. There were chips under the table from the night before and when collecting a pre ordered paper we were charged 70p above cost price. I have never had this experience... more

Spent one night here as a cricket fan (close to Trent Bridge). I reserved a single room in the morning and stressed I wanted a quiet room away from the road ( I hate traffic noise). I got a room at the back (no 35) and it suffered from noise from the kitchen and/or restaurant. So I had a rather... more

We stayed there for a weekend of shopping and football. The hotel has reasonably good bus connection to the city center and is a 10 mins walk from the City Ground. The rooms are quite charming with some of a house-/ homefeel to them. The breakfast was good and the service and food in the restaurant at night was also... more

We have just spent 3 nights at this hotel and after reading some other reviews just before we went I was not looking forward to it. What a surprise - I could hardly fault it. A warm welcome from reception and quick check in. New decor in the room including a new bathroom - which was small but clean. I... more

Were booked into this hotel for 3 nights but moved out after the first night. First impressions were quite good with a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. BUT on going to the guest bedroom accommodation the corridors were very narrow - not a great deal more tham shoulder width in places - and were interspersed with steps up and down... more

Receptionists couldn't be bothered to stand up to talk to their guests or show them where to go to find the rooms - really gave me the feeling that they weren't interested! I was unlucky enough to get room 36 at the top, entailing a long and twisting and unguided tour around the hotel with very little in the way... more

A modern hotel conveniently placed on the southern outskirts of Nottingham. On the direct bus link from East Midlands Airport with bus stop almost outside. Buses to town centre are at least every 15 mins. Alternatively a 30 min walk partly along the riverside and on quiter roads is achievable. A small shop is located about 50 yards from the... more

The Beeches was the venue for my sister-in-law's wedding on Saturday 8th September 2007. As we were travelling from the North East we decided to stay for both the Friday & Saturday nights. The first problem we encountered was making a booking - 3 emails were sent before we were able to actually make a booking - apparently they had... more
